Where Angels Meet

Goodnes gracious! Talk about full throttle these last few weeks before the summer holidays. Everything has to be squeezed in even if there is no time available. Just a couple of weeks to go and then - bliss!

It has been the coldest and rainiest June in years so far. Yesterday was Midsummer Eve, traditionally a day and evening spent out of doors but nope, not this years. Thank you very much for my fleece sweater!

I am into 8x8 canvases at the moment, all mounted in shadow boxes and given as gifts to friends. The one I am sharing today is in remembrance of a dear dear friend who recently left us after having battled ALS for some time. A hellish decease.

The title comes from a poem - Where Angels Meet.

Papers are from Prima's Debutante and
Something Blue collection.

All flowers are also from Prima, mostly from the
Debutante and Butterfly collections,
as is the resin cherub.

Tattered Angels mist in Black Cherry and
silver microbeads.

Happy Midsummer to you all!
and thank you so much
for popping by for a visit!

Toodelipip! xoxo Eila

  6. How stunning!!! Perfect idea for your dimensional work. Do you mean canvas boards as opposed to stretched canvases? Great that you have 8 inch shadow boxes readily available. So sorry to hear about another friend dying :( and what a pity your weather has not yet delivered - must be quite depressing or perhaps you get used to it if you are cost indoors. Our bad days are so few and far between, like your sunny days, that for me it's really nice to get cosy with a coffee xx
